Here at Double DAB, we offer a variety of lessons. We offer both Western and English lesson. Riding lessons are taken on one of our horses or ponies in the riding arena or on the trail. The goal of each lesson is to develop confidence in the rider and to create a bond between horse and rider through teamwork.

All riding lessons are based on basic dressage principles that help reinforce the essentials of basic horsemanship and equitation. We believe riders need to work from the ground up as they learn to ride horses. At Double DAB, we like to make the rider’s learning experience a fun one, and we try to incorporate games and exercises into every lesson.

Lessons will be developed and taught around each rider’s individual skill level. We welcome any level of rider to come and join us.  It is our mission to teach you the essentials of riding in a fun and exciting manner while keeping your safety our number one priority.

We invite riders aged 3 or older to join us for some lessons. Riding lessons are a great way to develop self-confidence, range of motion, balance, agility, and self–advocacy.

We hope to ride with you soon!

Hunters, are you looking for a place to get some riding experience on trails before you head out west for your hunting trip? Here at Double DAB, we are willing to help prepare you for the hills and trails that you might encounter.  We will teach you the basic essentials of riding in the wild. You will learn to mount, dismount, tie your horse to a tree, and how to react if your horse spooks or an animal jumps out of the woods. Come spend hours with us while we help to alleviate your saddle sores.

Riding is a Partnership with a Horse

All riders must wear jeans and closed-toe shoes. Anyone under 18 must wear a helmet. If you are serious about continued riding lessons, we suggest you purchase your own helmet. However, we do provide ASTM approved riding helmets at the stable. Riders will be supervised at all times.
